Check your AI context: twelve questions that need evidence
Use the interactive self-check to assess one specific use case. The Excel worksheet records evidence, open actions and owners.

Choose a task, such as “Draft a case note from an incoming service report”. Confirm an item only when you can support it with evidence. “Planned” stays open. Use the Excel file for joint work with the business team and IT, or the check on this page for an initial review.

Download Excel fileWhat counts as evidence
| Sounds resolved | Can actually be checked |
|---|---|
| “The documentation is in the wiki.” | The authoritative instruction is identified and its scope matches the chosen case. |
| “Permissions come from the system.” | Access has been tested with the intended user role, including a source that must remain inaccessible to it. |
| “We tried the assistant.” | Specific inputs have recorded expectations and observed results, including missing information and exceptions. |
Evidence does not have to be a new document. A reference to an existing policy or a recorded test case may be sufficient. The person confirming the item should be able to explain what that evidence establishes.
Twelve checks for your use case
Tick only items you can substantiate. Your selection is not saved; print it to keep a copy.
7 prerequisites remain unresolved. Address these first and record who will do what.
Work from the result
Seven items are marked as prerequisites: the task, action boundary, authoritative sources, applicability, ownership, permissions and business-reviewed test expectations. Outstanding prerequisites are shown individually. Other confirmed items do not compensate for them.
The counters show progress through this NEXTHORIZN worksheet. They are neither a standardised maturity rating nor evidence of answer quality. Even twelve confirmed items do not replace testing the actual implementation.
Transfer open items to the Excel file. Use “Open issue / next action” for a checkable result, such as “The service lead decides which of the two instructions applies to model range A”. Add an owner and target date. Once the decision is available, record the evidence and change the status.
If drafting a case note later expands to passing it on automatically, review the affected items again. Keep the previous assessment with its task and date. The online selection is held only on the open page; use Print/PDF to save it.
For the item on test expectations, the version analysis shows why an apparently successful test may reveal very little. Choose cases that expose errors
